Another rerun! I first listened to this two years ago, I think, and I also recall being pretty into it last year. Back then I was really into Circles of Death and LĂșin of CeltchaR, this time my gateway song was NIGHTMARE CITY. I was into the artcore influences & piano/strings - this album isn't super artcore-ish but it does make use of some cool instruments, including flute and what I think is bagpipe?
Anyway, this is one of my favorite hardcore albums and I was surprised that it had held up for me so well over several years. My tastes have shifted towards harder beats (this sounds goofy but I'm just not sure what terms to use) so I'm actually a little sick of LĂșin of CeltchaR... but I LOVE ///UNDER CONSTRUXION/// which I didn't remember at all from earlier. I'm impressed by the relisten value!
Camellia is fantastic at structuring songs. In my opinion his intros tend to be perfect. BRACE FOR FRICKING IMPACT is a great example of the pacing in this album, but I may be biased on that particular intro because grandiose, constant bells kill me every time.
I haven't actually listened to the rest of Camellia's discography all the way through, and I would love to do so to get some more musical context for this album. Perhaps I will report back on this but if I haven't then assume that it was so crazy I just didn't have anything worth saying that would measure up to actually listening to it.

P.S. Nothing to report but I just had a really great cup of tea. Half of it was that the mug had like a cubist painting of the apostles (FUCK IDK? I swear I'd seen the painting it was referencing and it was like an early Christian thing but I could not tell you what it actually depicted) and that was super cool.
